Marina Shirinkina
Apogee Merit Scholar and Rising Star Award Laureate

Marina Shirinkina received an Apogee Merit Scholarship in the 2002/2003 academic year and subsequently received the Foundation's Rising Star Award based on her selection by the faculty of the Perm State Ballet School as the school's top graduate at the conclusion of the 2005/2006 academic year.
Several months later, Shirinkina became the first student in the history of the Perm State Ballet School to be hired before graduation directly into the Mariinsky (Kirov) Ballet in St. Petersburg.
She is shown here with Perm State's top Class of 2006 male graduate, Taras Tovstyuk, also a laureate of multiple Apogee awards from his earliest years of training at the Perm State Ballet School.
